Hello lovelies! Hope you all had an amazing holiday season in spite of whatever restrictions you may have in your area due to the pandemic.
I apologize if this post came in a little later than usual. I got side tracked by miniature house building and then the holidays came and before I know it, I’m behind in my setup! I finished everything in a couple days, which you will see in the video below.
For my 2021 setup, I decided on a Mandala theme – mainly because I want a black and white theme. Most of the mandalas I got inspiration from Pinterest, and a couple I did on my own. Here are the collections I decided to use as well. NOT IN PHOTOS – my wishlist for the year.

JANUARY 2021
For January, I wanted something simple but colorful. I did a lot of black and white themes in 2020 and also for my 2021 setup, plus I want to use these washi tapes that I’ve never used. These are washi tapes with paper backing so you can cut the elements you like at ease. I’ve got a lot and it’s about time I use them.
My overall theme is color gradients, if I could call it that!😜 My cover page is pretty simple: stamped bold letters for the month title and a gradient of purples to fill the entire page.

This month’s calendar is a gradient of greens and it will be used as my Instagram post planner. So basically I will write down what I plan on posting in these boxes (and adjust if needed) and then ultimately, I will print out the actual photos of what I had posted on Instagram. This is because I noticed that I post sporadically and sometimes weeks go by without posting anything. So I wanted a visual representation and an actual plan to make me post more regularly.

I also decided on journaling one page a day with a colored border for each page. One color family represents one week. Does that make sense? Maybe the photos will explain it better?! 😜 Here’s a few pages I’ve completed. I fell in love with cursive writing since I started in November last year. It’s actually easier to write in cursive than in print (at least for me). The fountain pen I’m using glides so well that I forget it’s a fountain pen! **** NOTE: I will post more pages as the month progresses. *****
And that’s it! 🙂
Holy sh!t your pages are amazing! How do you make those mandalas, are they all by hand? Gosh I wish I had some artistic talent! I just adore your black and white spreads!
@Anna Hello! Thank you for your kind words. 😊 Mandala inspiration mostly came from Pinterest. I only did 3 (original) mandalas myself.
Hving social media and instagram tracker would definitely help me. Especially now that i try to stay active on blog and instagram. Will probably add one on my feb spread.
I always love your monthly spreads!
@Kristine Thank you so much! 😊 I agree with the using the trackers. Sometimes life takes over and I go MIA for weeks! I’m changing the IG Tracker on February to a more practical setup. 😉
