Self-Rising Flour is not common here in the Philippines. I might need to go to several different grocery stores or specialty stores to be able to get a pack.
However, here’s a simple recipe to make your own self-rising flour with the ingredients you may already have at home and even save money!
Self-Rising Flour
Adapted from Allrecipes.com
Ingredients
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1½ tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Salt
Directions
- To make exactly 1 cup of self-rising flour, remove 2 teaspoons of all purpose flour from the 1 cup you have measured.
- Sift remaining ingredients together and stir for a few seconds. Viola! You now have your own self-rising flour.
You may need to adjust the salt content/measurement of your recipe if you’re making and using your own self-rising flour.
